Bij penicilline allergie:
Zie Odin-protocol 'Werkwijze bij antibiotica gerelateerde overgevoeligheid’ (Odin 049799).
In veel gevallen zijn cefalosporines veilig te geven.
Bij aanwijzingen voor een ernstige immediate type penicilline allergie:
Secundair, postoperatief: meropenem iv 2000mg 3dd.
Secundair, na schedelbasisfractuur: ceftriaxon iv 2000mg 2dd.
Secundair, na open schedelfractuur: ceftriaxon iv 2000mg 2dd.
